Our volunteers are some of the best folks on earth. It’s hard to describe them but here are a few traits:

They love music, the arts, good food and community. They recognize the importance of getting together and celebrating each other’s folk traditions with family, neighbors and newcomers alike. They hang decorations and paint signs. They unfold chairs and direct people to the baños. They make sure weird things are not chucked into the compost. They sew old sheets into reusable cloth napkins. They are multi-generational and come from all over the city. Their skills are diverse and they are passionate about trading knowledge and know-how. They strive to make the world a greener and kinder place. They lend hands they didn’t even know they had! They are our treasured festival ambassadors. They are also very serious fun-havers.
